2. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you use PostifyHQ and which features or integrations you authorize.

2.1 Account Information

When you register for PostifyHQ, we may collect information such as:

• account preferences;

Passwords are stored using appropriate security measures and are not stored in readable plain text.

3. Information Received From Social Media Platforms

PostifyHQ does not request access to social platform information that is unrelated to providing the features of the Service.

4. Facebook and Instagram Data

This section specifically applies when you connect Facebook, Instagram or another Meta service to PostifyHQ.

PostifyHQ uses Meta APIs and related technologies to allow users to connect and manage authorized Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts.

4.1 Information We May Receive From Meta

Depending on the Meta permissions approved by you and granted to PostifyHQ, we may receive information including:

• your Meta/Facebook app-scoped user identifier;

• your name or other basic profile information where required for authentication;

• Facebook Pages you are authorized to access or manage;

• Instagram professional accounts linked to authorized Facebook assets;

• Page IDs and Instagram account IDs;

• account names and profile information;

• authorization information and access tokens;

• content that you choose to create, schedule or manage through PostifyHQ;

• publishing status;

• posts and media relating to functionality you request;

• engagement metrics and insights where authorized; and

• other Platform Data necessary to provide a feature you have expressly requested.

The precise information available to PostifyHQ depends on Meta's APIs, approved permissions and the permissions granted by the user.

4.2 How We Use Meta Platform Data

Information obtained through Meta is used only as necessary to provide and operate PostifyHQ features authorized by the user.

For example, Meta Platform Data may be used to:

• authenticate your connection with Meta;

• identify Facebook Pages or Instagram accounts you are authorized to manage;

• display authorized social accounts inside PostifyHQ;

• connect those accounts to your PostifyHQ workspace;

• create, schedule and publish content on your behalf;

• upload authorized images or videos;

• obtain the status of content submitted for publication;

• display authorized post or account insights;

• maintain and troubleshoot your social account connection;

• allow you to disconnect connected accounts; and

• provide functionality that you have specifically requested.

PostifyHQ does not use Meta Platform Data for purposes unrelated to the Service authorized by the user.

4.3 Meta Data Restrictions

PostifyHQ does not:

• sell Meta Platform Data;

• rent Meta Platform Data;

• trade Meta Platform Data;

• provide Meta Platform Data to data brokers;

• provide Meta Platform Data to advertising networks for their independent purposes;

• use Meta Platform Data to create unrelated advertising profiles;

• use Meta Platform Data for surveillance;

• use Meta Platform Data for purposes inconsistent with the permissions granted by the user;

• request users' Facebook or Instagram passwords;

• disclose Meta access tokens to unauthorized parties; or

• use Meta Platform Data to train general-purpose artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.

Meta Platform Data is processed only in connection with legitimate PostifyHQ functionality and in accordance with applicable Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies.

5. Access Tokens and Social Account Credentials

When you connect a supported social media account, the social platform may provide PostifyHQ with an OAuth access token or similar authorization credential.

These credentials allow PostifyHQ to perform authorized actions without requiring us to know or store your social media password.

Access tokens may be used to:

• maintain your social account connection;

• request information you have authorized;

• publish content you schedule;

• retrieve permitted analytics or account information; and

• perform other actions that you expressly authorize.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect stored authorization credentials against unauthorized access.

We do not ask users to provide their Facebook or Instagram passwords to PostifyHQ.

6. Content You Provide

When using PostifyHQ, you may create, upload, import or store information such as:

• draft posts;

• saved captions;

• publishing instructions;

• campaign materials;

We process this information to provide the features you request, including storing drafts, scheduling content and publishing content to connected social networks.

You remain responsible for content you create or publish through PostifyHQ.

7. AI-Assisted Features

PostifyHQ may offer artificial intelligence features that help users generate or improve content such as captions, ideas or social media copy.

When you intentionally use an AI feature, information you submit to that feature may be processed by PostifyHQ and relevant service providers solely for the purpose of providing the requested AI functionality.

You should not submit sensitive personal information to an AI-generation feature unless necessary.

PostifyHQ does not use Meta Platform Data to train general-purpose artificial intelligence models.

8. Automatically Collected Information

When you use PostifyHQ, certain technical information may be collected automatically, including:

• browser type;

• device information;

• operating system;

• referring URLs;

• timestamps;

• pages or features accessed;

In particular, data obtained through Facebook, Instagram or other Meta APIs is not sold, rented, licensed or transferred to data brokers, advertising networks or other parties for their independent commercial purposes.

14. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

• provide the Service;

• maintain your account;

• perform actions you requested;

• comply with applicable law;

• resolve disputes;

• maintain security;

• prevent fraud or abuse; and

• enforce our agreements.

The exact retention period may depend on the type of information.

• account information may be retained while your PostifyHQ account remains active;

• social account access credentials may be retained while the relevant social account remains connected;

• scheduled content may be retained until it is published, deleted or no longer required;

• drafts and uploaded media may remain until deleted by the user or account;

• transaction information may be retained where required for financial or legal recordkeeping; and

• security or technical logs may be retained for a limited period necessary for security, troubleshooting and fraud prevention.

When information is no longer required, we will delete, anonymize or securely dispose of it as appropriate.

15. Facebook and Instagram Data Deletion

Users may request deletion of information associated with their Facebook or Instagram connection.

You may do this by:

Option 1 — Disconnect the Social Account

Log into PostifyHQ and remove or disconnect the relevant Facebook or Instagram account from your connected social accounts.

Disconnecting an account prevents PostifyHQ from continuing to use the connection to access that account, subject to any information that must temporarily be retained for security, legal or operational purposes.

Option 2 — Remove PostifyHQ Through Meta

You may remove PostifyHQ through your Facebook or Meta account's Apps and Websites settings.

Removing the application terminates the authorization granted to PostifyHQ.

Option 3 — Request Data Deletion From PostifyHQ

You may request deletion by contacting:

Please include sufficient information for us to identify the relevant PostifyHQ account. Do not send us your Facebook or Instagram password.

Once a valid request is verified, we will delete or anonymize applicable personal data and Meta Platform Data associated with the user, except information that must be retained where permitted or required by law.

Data deletion requests will be handled promptly and within the period required by applicable law and Meta Platform requirements.

16. Deleting Your PostifyHQ Account

You may request deletion of your PostifyHQ account and associated personal information.

Where an account-deletion option is available within your account settings, you may use that option.

After verifying the request, we will delete or anonymize personal information associated with the account except where retention is reasonably necessary or legally required for purposes such as:

Deleting your PostifyHQ account does not automatically delete content that has already been published to Facebook, Instagram or another third-party social network. Published content is controlled by the relevant platform and may need to be removed through that platform.

17. Revoking Permissions

You may revoke PostifyHQ's access to a third-party social account through:

• PostifyHQ's account or social connection settings; or

• the privacy, security, application or authorization settings provided by the relevant social media platform.

If authorization is revoked, some PostifyHQ functionality may stop working for that account.

18. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against:

• unauthorized access;

• unauthorized disclosure;

• alteration;

• loss;

• destruction; and

• misuse.

These measures may include, where appropriate:

• encrypted communications using HTTPS/TLS;

PostifyHQ is an independent service and is not responsible for the privacy practices, availability, content or policies of third-party platforms.

Connecting an account to PostifyHQ does not transfer ownership of your social media account to PostifyHQ.

23. Meta Platform Compliance

PostifyHQ's access to and use of information obtained from Meta Platforms, including Facebook and Instagram, is intended to comply with applicable:

• Meta Platform Terms;

• Meta Developer Policies;

• Facebook and Instagram platform requirements;

• permissions approved for the PostifyHQ application; and

• applicable privacy and data protection laws.

We request and process Meta Platform Data only where necessary to provide functionality initiated or authorized by the user.

Where Meta requires Platform Data to be deleted, or where an authorized user requests deletion, we will process the deletion request in accordance with applicable requirements unless retention is legally required or otherwise expressly permitted.

24. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect:

• changes to PostifyHQ;

• new features;

• changes to third-party integrations;

• legal requirements;

• security practices; or

• changes to platform requirements.
